Baseball: FAU Powers Past Rutgers 12-3
Andy Mee paces Owl's offensive with four RBI
Florida Atlantic scored four runs in the first inning en route to a 12-3 victory over Rutgers on Tuesday night.
Taylor Everist (1-3) received the start and pitched two innings while giving up three hits, and one run with one walk and one strikeout. The Apopka native used the start to fix his mechanics after only lasting 1.2 innings in Friday’s start against Troy. Despite only throwing two innings, Everist was eligible for the victory because his pitch count was announced before the game.
“I was happy for him to get the win,” said head coach John McCormack.
