I have started a online petition to help the baseball get a new facility and hopefully the Athletic Department will take it seriously. Its completely up to you whether or not you want to sign it, but I feel that our teams showing in the regionals and the history of our team it is time to get it done.

Right.  It's not as if the Athletic Department and the University don't WANT to upgrade the baseball facility, they just don't currently have the funds to do it.  Everyone knows that the stadium needs improvement, so I don't think a petition is going to help the cause…money will.

Very true. A petition shows a want or desire. FAU already has the want and desire. They lack the funds to do this. If it were easy , I would petition my wife for a bigger boat.

I am not even a big baseball fan and still learning the game. However, I always wanted to go to an FAU baseball game for support. I took my son to his first baseball game last season when FAU played against UM at our stadium. Let's just say as an alumnus, I was appalled with the venue. I diverted a portion of my annual contribution from my church and sent FAU a $500 check last year specifically for the baseball stadium building fund. For those who are interested in writing a check, specify exactly where you want the funds to go.

The fact that the attendance at the games is low, financing would be a bad decision. I think the alumni community need to contribute at least half the funds and hopefully a sponsor will contribute the other half to get the required renovation done.

If FAU would start a fund specific to renovating the baseball stadium I would write a check.  I am not a big baseball fan but it is desperately needed and deserved.

They don't have to start a specific fund in order for you to contribute to the baseball stadium. If you send a donation and state what the funds are intended for it becomes a restricted donation in accordance with law.

Did not know that but it then sits there.  If they have a fund at least you know they are working towards an end.
