While it is fantastic that the baseball team got the one seed, they performed absolutely horrible during mid week games this year. A few wins against central florida, miami and/or the gators and we would be looking at an at large bid with a higher rpi. I know it will never happen, but you kind of wish that we would have sent garton out to the mound in some of those big mid week games. I mean they are way more important in years where the sunbelt is only going to send one team. Any thoughts or comments on this? Also, if we win all our tournament games except lose in the championship game... anyone think there is any hope of an at large bid this year?

Yeah, they seem to do that with all of our teams… irritating as hell. They don't believe they can win them so they pull the best guys, saying they want to "rest our starters and get the back-ups some experience." Awesome, so next year the back-ups will be starters and you'll pull them again when a game of importance occurs.

Then you'll put them back in for post-season play and hope a ranked team like Florida doesn't squish us 15-1… but that's why you play the game(s).

Yea I say this all the time there is really no point in playing the Mid week games against the big boys if we are not sending our best out there, but then again yea if we send our best during mid week games and lets say split the 6 or so games we play UCF UM UF and it costs us 5 or 6 belts games is it worth it? We just need more depth. I was was a millionaire this bit of my money i would give would be to FAU's baseball program.
