50 the homecoming
Hello I am Shane Marinelli and I have recently become the assistant director of homecoming for Florida Atlantic’s 50th homecoming celebrations and 50th year’s anniversary.

The week of homecoming will be the week of Sunday October 30th through the November 5th games Vs Arkansas State.
When took this job one of the main things I wanted to focus on is making FAU homecoming more alumni oriented. This Is FAU first ‘’true’’ homecoming  this is the year we must start working to have more programming for  alum that are coming back to see the school for the first time in many  years.

I post this to see if you guys have any suggestions or idea for alum events or just homecoming in general.  For example the first day of homecoming the past several years on Sunday morning we do the 5k fun run which has been very successful but how can we improve on it further also what would you like to see out of the parade etc.
