Charter Dallas, Bright House Sports Network , and WKYU have been added to the list of affiliates for the Sun Belt Network – a partnership with the conference office, Comcast-Charter Sports Southeast (CSS), and Cox Sports Television (CST).
The Sun Belt, CST, and CSS previously announced a comprehensive deal that will bring Sun Belt Conference events to the airwaves beginning this fall. “We have had a great partnership with CSS and CST for our baseball broadcasts over the last several years and had an incredibly successful basketball package last season. This year we will produce 45 total broadcasts,” said Sun Belt Assistant Commissioner for Electronic Media Travis Llewellyn.
“The timing is right to expand our football broadcasts with CSS and CST and we are excited to have additional affiliates that will increase viewership for our flourishing football league.”
For Charter Cable subscribers in the Denton , Texas area, the Sun Belt Network will air on public access/local origination channel 25 in Denton , Corinth , Lake Dallas , Hickory Creek, Shady Shores and the University of North Texas . This will bring an additional 57,000 households to the Sun Belt Network.
Sun Belt football fans in the Central Florida and Tampa areas will also be able to watch select Sun Belt Network games as Bright House Sports Network has been added as an affiliate. Bright House Sports Network serves 1.6 million customers in Orange , Seminole, Osceola, Brevard, Volusia, Flagler, Marion , Sumter , Lake, Citrus, Hernando, Pasco , Hillsborough, Pinellas, Polk, and Manatee counties.
The Sun Belt Network will also extend its reach in the state of Kentucky thanks to the addition of WKYU as an affiliate. WKYU reaches an audience of more than 250,000 people in 11 counties in Kentucky and Tennessee.
