Alfred Morris Accepts invite to East-West Shrine Game

Alfred Morris has decided to play in the East-West Shrine game to be held at Tropicana Field on January 21st at 4:00 in St. Petersburg, Fla.

Morris had previously been invited to The Battle of Florida, but chose this opporuntity instead due to the exposure it offers.

"The East-West Shrine Game has always fielded players among college football's best," said East-West Shrine Director Harold Richardson. "With all 32 NFL teams represented by GMs, coaches and scouts during game week, our players have the terrific opportunity to showcase their talents and get their first glimpse of life in the NFL."

The contest will be televised live on the NFL Network.

Good for him. The East West Shrine game is a very well established All-star game with huge exposure.

Quite frankly, The Battle of Florida All-star Game may end up being a dud.  I don't know of anyone planning on buying tickets to watch it.

I have managed to rally a group of 20 football fans/tailgaters that are already going through withdrawals and were all going just to party in a parking lot one last time this year. We may be the only ones in Priority!

3:34 left in the 4th quarter, game tied at 17

Morris has 9 Rushes, 31 yards (leads all rushers on the East)

and 1 catch for -5 yards.

There is no OT in this game, Alfred is on the East and they just punted it. So it's not likely he'll get any more carries

My two favorite teams are FAU, and who ever is beating FIU!

Not the best numbers today, but he's turning heads regardless…

I attended the game.  He looked very good.  He showed good balance and he blocked well.  He also blocked well on special teams.

Hopefully everything falls into place for him in the coming months and he ends up with an NFL contract.

BTW, how was attendance at the game?

The bar area in priority had a few people but overall I would guess the attendance was about 5k, maybe a little more.

Not much of a game but a few good players and plays made.

Carroll from fiu is terrible!!!!

Just nice to be in my seats, perfect weather and beer.

GO OWLS!

Yes,I was referring to Shrine game.  Curious to compare the attendance to Battle of Florida as Shrine game has been around so long.
