Total offensive yards: 295 receiving + 142 rushing = 442
Total TDs: 3 TD (1 receiving, 2 rushing)

2012

Total offensive yards: 192 receiving + 380 rushing = 572
Difference from 2011: +130
Total TDs: 4 TD (1 receiving, 3 rushing)

Graham Wilbert 6-9-56
Stephen Curts 1-5-25
Nick Bracewell 8-12-66
David Kooi 12-20-148, 1 TD to Jabyes Cross 34 yards

2012
Wilbert 8-of-18 for 71 yards, TD

Kooi 1-of-5 for 3 yards, 1 INT

So… definitely making (offensive) progress.

The offensive numbers look better as a whole but spring games don't tell us much.  For instance,  Wilbert and Kooi combined for 18-29 for 204 yards in Spring game '11.  Not too bad….then compare that to the season they both had…Aargh

But I think the spring game does help coaches in the weed out process.

There is no doubt huge progress has been made though.

Throw all those old numbers out the window. Everyone is starting from scratch with the new system.

when the two worst teams in the country play, somebody has to win, that's what these numbers tell me.

You're missing rushing yards from the QB for this years spring game.  They ran a lot more designed QB draws than I've ever seen here and kept the play-calling extremely vanilla.  I don't think you can infer anything from these numbers.

Spring games mean nothing.

Especially when we consider the players that were not here yet:

Glinton, Mitchell, Burton, Mckinney, Gilchrist <- and that is just WR/TE. Also Martese Jackson and a little guy named MG3.
