CMU at first glance...

CMU at first glance...

It's almost like looking into a mirror.  We average about 26 ppg, they average about 30.  We give up about 30 ppg, they gave up about 31.  They give up about 20 more yards a game then we do.  We won our final game 57-50…they lost theirs 56-52.  This has the makings of a shootout.  Should be a fun game.  They'll definately have home field advantage….but we seem to embrace the underdog role.  Plus, HS knows a thing or two about winning bowl games.  Anyway, I'm sure we'll go over this in depth over the next 3 weeks.  Right now I'm just thrilled for the chance to play one more game this year!

Also, as Bytor pointed out elsewhere, we recruit directly against them. It will be an important game.

This is CMU's 3rd straight appearance in the Motorcity Bowl (1-1)

My two favorite teams are FAU, and who ever is beating FIU!

Re: CMU at first glance...

This should be a good showdown of two of the mid majors best qb's between Smith and LeFevour

We'll be on national TV again. We crashed and burned the other TV appearances. Lets hope for a great performance by the Owls.

This is a different team than the ones that played against Troy and MTSU. It seems like after the Troy game something just clicked and then they went on a tear. It helped playing WKU (which we barely won) and ULM (which we also barely won) after Troy then we SMOKED ULL. If the team that played against ULL and FIU shows up we're in for a shoot out. If the Ark State team shows up then we're in for a whooping

I do want the Owls to win, yes, but I more importantly I want to see a good game where the FAU receivers are catching the ball, footballs aren't bouncing off of FAU's players helmets, the ball is not hiked over the punter's head and NO 15 YARD PERSONAL FOULS. I really want to see FAU play a great game, a win would be wonderful, but a very well played game would be more important. And possibly a well played game is what it will take to win.

I agree. This game will set the stage for next year. FAU needs to keep sharp over the next couple of weeks and come out ready to play on Dec. 26th.

GO OWLS!!!
