Concerned? We should Be!!

Well sports fan in light of the latest lost, the concerns I have had since the UAB game are coming to light right before our eyes. Once again, a team has totally done what they wanted to do without our being able to respond. The D did what they have done the entire season, giving up 200 plus yards rushing and 200 plus yards via the pass (can you say balance). We have yet to prove that we can take anything away from a team that they do well so far this season. I know some of you our now saying, well the conference starts now and it will be different. Hear this; No team can just turn it on when they get ready to. I saw a team Saturday that couldn't pass, run, make multiple mistakes and ultimately quit. That's what happens when you do not have leaders and once again folks, when you start believeing your own press  clippings. Even of more concern, we have gone two weeks in a row where the O didn't score a TD. Now that's really a cause for concern as they have caught up with the D in the sense of productivity. I don't know folks, there seems to be a lack of something with this team. But I guess there's still hope. We still have a chance at the conference. But things must change and must change now!! Hopefully the players take the extra time off to look deep within themselves. It will take that to a man if they want to repeat last years success. Folks, it's soul searching time for our beloved FAU Owls!!

Re: Concerned? We should Be!!

Well said, Hootyhoot. For the first time, I was happy I didn't go to a game (Minnesota). A friend who went said it was very disappointing. I listened to part of it (XM radio) before going into Falcon Stadium watch No. 20 Utah use a late TD to beat my other favorite, the always undersized but disciplined Air Force. As for the Owls: Team chemistry? Play calling? I don't know. But I don't like it much. In any case, though, I remain a strong fan and supporter of Coach Schnellenberger. If anyone has the answer, he's the guy. But there's not a lot of time to get the corrections into place.
