ESPN Article - "Once a coach, always a coach" - Howard Schnellenberger

Found this article I thought this board would appreciate.

http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/7833602/understanding-why-larry-brown-wants-back-college-basketball

I almost didn't read it because I thought it was some article about Larry Brown and SMU that I wouldn't care about, but it turned out to be an excellent Howard article in disguise.

My favorite part is that Howard's "current charge, he said, is to raise $15 million over the next five years to pad the athletic budget and hopefully make FAU more attractive to a BCS conference."

Enjoy!

Great article but he wasn't an "assistant" on the 1972 Dolphins team, he was the Offensive Coordinator, big difference.

Should he succeed in raising even $5M that would bring his tally to $17M I believe…that's pretty impressive!

+1.  He is amazing.

Teambeer is the most knowledgeable FAU sports fan I know, way smarter than me.

"I wanted a smooth transition. I didn't want to put FAU through what Florida State went through with Bobby [Bowden]."
