FAU vs Kansas viewing Party

Attention Owl Fans!

The Owls will open up the 2005 football season this Saturday, September 3rd at Kansas. For those of us who can't make the trip, we can watch the Owls on either WTCN - 15 or WBSF - UPN33 at 7:00 pm. If you would like to cheer on the Owls with other FAU Fans, we will be hosting our first Owl Watch Party beginning at 6:30 pm at the Neighborhood Sports Grill (on Federal Hwy, just past Yamato) on Saturday night. You're on your own for food and drink but at least you'll be with other Owl Fans. Come join the excitement as we play our first game of the year.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Shelley Binegar at 561-297-0408 or email [email protected].

Is anyone from the board going to this? Or has anyone gone to the Neighborhood Sports Grill? Just curious and I'm thinking of going.

I'm getting a group of people together to go. I've never been there but I've heard that it is pretty nice. Is anyone else going?

O.G. Owl - I ended up watching the FAU-KU game with some 20+ Fraternity brothers at their house but just curious for all the other FAU Away Games … Did the Neighborhood Sports Grill charge anything to watch the game or have any age restrictions, etc. ? I'm 23 but we certainly have younger Fraternity brothers and I heard some places were charging at the door because the bar paid extra money to get the FAU game televised there (don't remember the bar's name though).

fauprowler..hmmmmm. Charging at the door? Most sports bars just include those hidden charges over a period of time. Or bite the bullet and don't charge anything. I also did not make it to the Neighborhood Sports Bar and Grill on Saturday.

They don't have age restrictions on anything except alcohol. Sort of like Hooters.

There was no additional charge at Neighborhood Grill. I saw some children with their families there. They had the game on three of their big screens (competing with the UF game). I had a good time.
