FEARLESS PREDICTIONS: 2013 Week Fourteen - FAU vs Florida International

Post

Can you believe it? The final week of the Owls' 2013 regular season is already here. Seems like it just started in all reality. Without further adieu, on to Shula Bowl XII we go.

Looking back, it's funny that someone had actually stated very early on when the schedule was fully recognized that Friday's contest could boil down to whether or not Florida Atlantic would be Bowl eligible. Valuable information, and if we could possibly tap into that type of foreknowledge ahead of  time for 2014, please drop us a line.

Anyway, our neighbors to the south know what this game means:

No, that's not Pat Chun, but it is a Big Enchilada - with lots of left over Turkey inside. Eat up FAU. And don't worry, whatever can be done to garner interest in the post season is already in motion behinds the scenes.

Does anyone really expect this game to be close? Likely not. But it sure will be fun to go through the motions as we enjoy the best regular season mark the Owls have posted since 2008.

For now there is just the small matter of bringing a once familiar item back to The Tom Oxley Center before it can happen.

Remember these guys?

They were celebrating FAU's 21-9 win over FIU at Lockhart in 2010 with the coveted Shula Trophy.

Unfortunately for the Panthers, it will be much more lopsided this time around.

Corey Henry has 3 sacks to break Rickards record and D'Joun has a couple of picks to lead the  nation. And Wallace, Dorvilus, McKinney and Richardson all get TDs to finish off fine careers at FAU.

I'd like a shut out for the seniors and Wright if this is to be his last game as HC of the Owls.

42-0 win in excellent fashion

After scoring an average of 43.3 points per game off of 3 teams with a combined 8 wins, along with only letting up an average of 11.3 on aforementioned teams, i see the owls coming up big again a 1-10 team.... after doing silly math that had nothing to do with anything i have come to the owls winning 56-0

As I mentioned before, the advantage the Owls have is they consider this a rivalry game. FIU is not motivated by that. Extra effort by the Owls today.

42-6 FAU wins. FIU gets close enough to the end zone for 2 field goals.

I think this one is going to be a little close than people think in the first half, but the Owls put the Panthers away in the second.
