"This game is going to be far closer than any of us anticipated back in August. North Texas might be better than some of us expected despite getting off to a 1-5 start and FAU is definitely not where we thought they would be after the 0-4 start. Enough with the filler. Here are my keys to the game in no particular order…"

Re: Five Things FAU Must Do In Order To Beat North Texas...

Without having seen the owls play yet this year, I'm going by what I saw the end of last year, and other people's posts.

#1, stop with the stupid penalties.  By stupid, I mean personal fouls, false starts, and offsides penalties.  With the exeception of Nebraska, and possibly USC, every game was close enough that I think we could have won if the penalties were eliminated.

#2.  Defense,  I agree with the article, we need to get aggressive.  Lets face it, our defense has always been a weak point for us.  Since day one.

#3.  Lets get our air game back.  It looks like we finally have a great runner in Morris, but just like last year, Rusty is still, well…….here it comes…..Rusty.  It's time to shake the cobwebs off dude, and start loading the cannons.  We all know that when Rusty is on he has a cannon of an arm and is both accurate and precise.  He just needs to get it together.

GO OWLS! Lets get outselves that W!

I'd like to add a bonus no. 7 to that list

7) FAU fans and alumni that are attending the game MUST attend the FAUNAA organized tailgate before the game with Smitty and Alex Sanchez '94. Then, we all must sit together, cheer together … and… I never thought I'd say this (because I'm a "Real Fans Wear Red" kinda guy) WEAR BLUE

:D
