That sign is so legit. The people who contributed to the statue, and now the sign, are owed an incredible thanks for their donation.

For the uninitiated, these two women to Schnelly's right are City Council members. The brunette is Boca Raton Mayor Susan Haynie.

They presented a city proclamation at halftime.

Daphne noticed and I later confirmed a number of apparent holes in the new sign just above the FAU logo. It appears the logo was installed too close to the "Schnellenberger" lettering, then moved down. But the holes were not filled or painted. Ooops.

Pres. Kelly might need to work on the Owl fingers…slightly resembles something else.

Yes, for those that didn't hear or know, Sept 13th will forever be "Howard Schnellenberger Day" in Boca Raton!

Nice sign though, fits with the stadium style 100% Congrats to Coach S and thank you to the donor - this was the right thing to do! No corporate bs name no matter the $.
