Re: If you were Coach......

Remind the offense that NO ONE is guaranteed a starting position. They didn't produce against UF and if they don't show improvement against MSU, then new guys will be offered their top spots on the depth chart.

Just look at what happened to Norte Dame this past weekend. The staff started Dayne Crist against USF. Crist sucked: going 7-for-15 for 95 yards and an interception as Notre Dame entered halftime trailing 16-0.

So after halftime ND put in Tommy Rees, who completed 24 of 34 passes for 296 yards and threw two touchdowns and two interceptions, to end the game 23-20 Bulls.

Yes, the still lost, but bottom line is if you can't produce, someone else will.

Re: If you were Coach......

Work on running the offense out of the shotgun and having the QB's practice setting thier feet before throwing on a roll out.

NEED to get the TE's involved more, need to throw to them 15-20 times a game while the WR's develop.  I would almost throw "fake" deep balls that have no chance of being caught or intercepted just to loosen the defense up and then run the TE's on 8-10 yard routes over the middle.  They are going to need to get creative.

Re: If you were Coach......

I like the idea of "fake" deep passes. Shoot, do anything to keep them from loading up the box and stuffing the run every time. I think I've only seen FAU run 2 or 3 trick plays ever. One was a lateral pass to Gent I think who then through a TD to Bonner. The other two were flea-flickers,lol.
