FIU acted on their situation appropriately and fired their coach. Clearly the change was needed and you see the results. I am willing to bet (hope I am wrong) we on the other hand continue to run the course and hear the same excuses, waiting for the "breakthrough" etc.

As of now I hope they do! We deserve the shame of that, especially if we continue to stay the course (what exactly is that - going down with the ship?).Posted On: Oct 16th 2016, 7:38 AM #361261
I agree. We need to be so humiliated that we actually admit we're being humiliated. Losing close games just keeps the administration in denial.

THAT WILL COST MANY MILLION$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Over the years to basically start over, and even when we get a team to even 7-5 or 8-4, local fans STILL NOT CARING ABOUT FAU FOOTBALL AND FAU IN GENERAL!
And this will affect not only football but all athetics and the entire University!
SUCK IT UP AND DEMAND CHANGES FAU ADMINS. AND IF THAT DOES NOT HAPPEN, MAKE THE CHANGES YOURSELF FROM THE TOP OF ATHLETICS ALL THE WAY DOWN!

And NOT changing because it will cost money is right now a gamble of staying this course and really destryoing the progame and fan base if we end up 1-11 (it COULD HAPPEN!).

I agree. I know it's a $1 million, but I think we're about to be in a worse position than if we were just starting the football program. Not only is there a lack of interest, but there's now a NEGATIVE view of the program that we have to overcome, which is affecting the core people that actually care about the program - the alumni that buy season tickets, donate, and try invite people to the games.
By saving this money, we're costing ourselves much more in the long run.

and he either does not or refuses to, is that not then insubordination and give the school the right to fire him (Coach P) with cause and NOT pay the payout?
Just wondering…..
