LOCAL COLOR
• Unique stadium features: The Superdome is the largest indoor facility in the country for football and the largest steel-constructed venue with 20,000 tons. While it may be boring to look at, the inside is enormous and remember you are one mile from the French Quarter. The Saints Hall of Fame (415 Williams Blvd., in the Rivertown section of Kenner, La., west of New Orleans, Web site), honors the team with busts and paintings of the 33 inductees, exhibits, memorabilia and videos. It's really quite impressive, especially considering the team has never reached the Super Bowl.
• W-L records on Monday night:
Tennessee: 17-15 (Most recent appearance: lost to Kansas City 49-38, Dec. 13, 2004)
New Orleans: 7-15 (Most recent appearance: Defeated Atlanta 23-3, Sept. 25, 2006)
• Biggest events held at stadium: Start with six Super Bowls (2002, 1997, 1990, 1986, 1981, 1978). The Superdome also has hosted four NCAA Final Fours in men's basketball (2003, 1993, 1987, 1982). Site of annual Sugar Bowl. Holds the national record for basketball attendance at the NCAA Final Four (64,659 in 1987) and for regular season (68,112 in 1990). Also holds the national record for NCAA college baseball attendance (25,151 in 2002).

FOOD & DRINK
• Food options inside the stadium: The signature dish is red beans and rice with sausage, but the Creole jambalaya and gumbo ya ya (gumbo with chicken, sausage and seafood) are just as good.
• Tailgating scene outside the stadium: Well, no real presence, since tailgating is not allowed. • Beer selection/prices: Aside from Bud, Coors and Miller products, you'll find local brews such as Abita, as well as imports including Heineken and Corona. Bud Lite, Coors Lite, Heineken, Michelob and Newcastle are available on draft. All beers cost $6.

OK. It's in the French Quarter, near street performers, likes its local sports heroes, and – oh yeah – it never closes. Even when Hurricane Katrina hit this cozy corner bar stayed open.
