MIAMI (AP) – The Miami Dolphins promoted running back Patrick Cobbs from the practice squad on Saturday, a move designed to add depth behind injured starter Ronnie Brown.

Cobbs, a rookie out of North Texas, will join Sammy Morris and Travis Minor at running back in Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Cobbs was signed as an undrafted free agent by New England and was traded to Pittsburgh on Sept. 1 for an undisclosed draft pick. He was waived by Pittsburgh on Sept. 8.
