Questions for SC Fans

Welcome to the board all SC fans, I'm making the trip up to the game this weekend and had a few questions for ya'll regarding the tailgating/parking situation.

I attended the FAU/SC game last time around and I seem to think I purchased a parking space before the game somehow, I think through our Alumni Tailgate we threw up there but that won't be the plan this year so I'm wondering what the parking situation is up there. I seem to remember many full lots and many numbered parking spaces that were reserved for the year. Are there "fee" lots that you can drive up to and set up shop? Allowing tents, etc? Is the big fairgrounds parking lot first come first served? I remember your stadium being out in the middle of nowhere so I assume there aren't any bars to "tailgate" at but since I'm driving, I don't mind bringing my stuff along for the ride and trying to enjoy the pre game festivities.

Thanks for the replies!

Re: Questions for SC Fans

Yeah, from what I read, ALL the parking at the fairgounds is reserved for for parking pass purchases. They label visitors parking at a base ball park (capitol something) which is like .5 mile away, WTF? But there is a farmers market that has parking right next to the stadium, but that is first-come-first-served.

But yes, any USC insight on the parking will be helpful.

Re: Questions for SC Fans

It has been a while since i have been down there but last time we tailgated we parked in the fairground grassy area and we just drove up and paid like 25 or 30 to park

Re: Questions for SC Fans

If you go to the site below you can see a map of the surrounding areas.  There is not a map of pull up and pay parking but if you look at the traffic flow map to see where Shop RD and Bluff rd are there are tons of pull up and pay lots along those streets.  They usually range from $5 far away from the stadium up to $20 when you get close.  We have completly redone the fair grounds (that grassy area you guys saw last year) and I belive it is a lot for donors only now but I am not sure.

Looking forward to you guys comming to Columbia hope you have a good trip but I do have to say
