Tuesday, Nov. 10th Football Practice Notes...

Florida Atlantic University’s football team returned to the field Tuesday to begin preparation for Arkansas State University who come into the game 2-6, 1-3 in Sun Belt Conference play.

“We had a good practice today,” said Howard Schnellenberger, FAU’s head coach. “We will need to have more to have a chance on Saturday against a good Arkansas State team.”

FAU held the normal schedule of practice but Coach Schnellenberger spent most of the day with the defense, a unit that will look to replace an injured Tarvoris Hill, one of just three starters that returned in 2009.

Three players are in competition for the spot Curtis Cross, Erick McIntosh and Darian Thomas. All three have earned game time for the Owls.

FAU will return to the practice field 3:30 p.m. Wednesday on the Tom Oxley Athletic Fields. All practices are free and open to the public.
