Wednesday Practice Delayed

Wednesday Practice Delayed

Was over at the Oxley Center earlier this afternoon for practice, but due rain and lighting in the area, Schnellenberger and the staff had to call practice after just 30 minutes of drills and stretching.

The remainder of practice is set for 7:00 p.m. tonight, under the lights on the turf practice fields, however it will remain weather pending as there is still a chance of rain.

Coach Van wasn’t too happy with the weather, and mentioned that three of his linebackers would miss the night practice due to classes.

Could be a lot of players missing practice because of school tonight…

Update:

Class schedules prohibited a full practice and it was called.

Re: Wednesday Practice Delayed

another reason why having an indoor practice facility is important.  Why was that not worked into the budget when planning the stadium.  I know howard is "old school" but it's time to step up to the 21st century.

Step up with a sizeable donation and you can have one.  Howard may be old school but the real issue is money.  Let's rejoice we are getting a $75M stadium and hope we can update our baseball stadium and one day get a new basketball arena before we spend millions on a practice facility.  A few times a year won't kill us.  Let's try to spend the money we don't have on things we will use more.

I "think" he's a UCF fan…that practice facility is the only thing they can hang their hat on really. They're the only school in the state with one, so it's easy to point out.

Still plenty of room in that Bowl Trophy Case up there eh Aqualung? Good thing you guys built such a nice practice facility…you'll win one eventually!

Oh, that would make sense then.  The fans of schools that have never accomplished anything seem to always migrate to insipid conversations about things like this.

I would be furious if we ever spent a penny on an indoor practice facility within the next 20 years…unless we had so much money we needed a reason to blow it.

Yes I am a UCF alum.  The practice facility is not that big of a deal.  It's just nice to have.  Weather is so unpredictable in Central Florida.  It's nice for the boys to get somewhere safe in case a thunderstorm is lurking.  We also have a state of the art arena, baseball stadium and our football stadium is not too shabby.  I would not brag too much about those bowl wins.  Try playing a BCS team in a bowl.

BCS Team… you still haven't won any against a Non-BCS team.
