Post

FAU coach Michael Curry has found his point guard of the future, and it comes in the form of Clemson transfer Adonis Filer. Filer tweeted Monday that he is headed to FAU after two seasons with the Tigers.

Filer averaged 3.9 points and 1.2 assists per game last season, for a Clemson squad that reached the NIT semifinals. His best performance of the season came against North Carolina, when he posted a season-high 12 points on 3-of-4 shooting from behind the arc. The sophomore guard played in 31 games as a freshman and averaged 6.3 points. He was a three-star recruit coming out of Notre Dame Prep (Mass.) and signed the Tigers over Oregon State and Baylor. He will have two years of eligibility remaining.

The transfer comes a month after three-star forward CJ Turman signed with FAU, giving Curry a pair of high-profile recruits in his first season.
