Re: McCheesey's

It was a bad night and it didn't look pretty.

The guys fight hard to get back into a game, but just can't seem to put enough together to pull away.
The Cowboys big guys hurt us inside all game   :'(

Re: McCheesey's

we were DOMINATED…….and it was soo bad…..i was the the Roudy Rex's and we coudlnt even taunt the players well.  OHH WELL, everyone was so high off the sunbelt champ / bowl bid, i think we can look past this one…..

Looks like the period in between football and baseball is going to REAL LONG!!!!

Re: McCheesey's

The one positive is that with FAU's schedule there wasn't much chance they could receive an at large bid.  If they are ready come conference time thats all that matters.

Re: McCheesey's

I don't agree with that. if we some how make this season come together our non conference record is going to stink will get 15/16 seed. if we had played better from the start and won 23/24 games with our schedule which i thought was realistic we could've gotten a much better seed.

Re: McCheesey's

Yeah that is a point but I was assuming no matter the seed they would exit early.  I remember the excitement in the area when FAU made the tourney last time.  If they can do that again it will be great for the program.  I'm looking for baby steps

i think we all predicated our success on Holley and Graham being in there…which they are not…and owens as well…well, at lkeast offensively that is to say…

I know no one thinks Holley was that vital, but i truly beg to differ…he was the second best three point shooter on the team, and was the only true point…

now, factor that in for the first couple games, and see what would have happened…a perimeter threat to compliment C-Los, and much better ball handling…

we all knew a key variable would be how quickly Nwoji could/would adjust to the D1 game…its taking a little time…probably not as far along as we all expected…

bottom line - we took some lumps and are dealing with it…

i agree with apetbrown…need to be realistic and give it some time IMO…it will only get better…

Re: McCheesey's

Don't want to be the huge pessimist on here but were 1-7 and it can't get any worse. And with respect to Nwoji, some of his teamates are playing ball in BCS conferences and doing well, Rodney Alexander for example is playing at Illinois I believe and he's doing well. I honestly just don't get it. USF, Cleveland State, McCheesey, BC, URI and UMKC are all games I thought we could've won. BC is so young and playing with new guys just like us and URI is a two man team. I'm just blown away, I really thought we were going to be a 7-1 type of team. Right now our RPI is like 290 out of 330, even if we were playing and losing to quality teams our RPI would be in the top 200 but it just goes to show you were not even playing quality teams and still losing.
