Scholarship Count

12 full rides at present with returners and incoming signees…we could go 13, but don't look for it.

FAU is fine on the Academic Progress Rate…no worries there…this is by choice alone.

We are three deep, and talented, at every position as it stands; shooting guard and point guard being the asides.

If they were to sign another player now, they would be looking at not having anything to offer down the line short term…with what they have, they feel this is the best route; as another offer would eliminate the possibility of signing anyone for the 2010-2011 season.

Could go for a "slam dunk" offer at a later date when the "pickens are fresh" by holding out the last scholarship…definitely makes sense.

Re: Scholarship Count

i'm interested to see if mj goes the jc route at all, that was very popular at st johns and still is. mostly because it was a lot off  inner city guys that didn't qualify out of high school then transferred after two years at the jc

Re: Scholarship Count

Have you read or head anything about possible recruits since Isiah Thomas was hired by FIU?  I think that we should see more highly skilled athletes for basketball and across all sports interested in FAU and all the Sun Belt members due to the pub that Isiah is bringing to the Sun Belt.
