Warning from FAU police

Just one more reason to use the new Rec. Center.  Let's be careful out there!

February 20, 2009

To:  The University Community
From:  FAU Police Department

On Friday afternoon, the Boca Raton Police Department notified
University Police of a suspicious person near the Boca Raton campus of
FAU. The subject, described as a black male, wearing a red shirt, gray
pants and black hat, has been in the vicinity of the Del Rio Trail and
Spanish River Blvd. The Del Rio Trail runs from Glades Road north along
the eastern boundary of the university.  The reported subject has made
inappropriate comments, and attempted to touch and grab female
bicyclists and joggers. Though the reported incidents have occurred off
campus, it is in the best interest of everyone to keep vigilant and
report any suspicious activity to the police at 561-297-3500 (FAU
Police Department) or 561-338-1234 (Boca Raton Police Department).

There's no such thing as Del Rio Trail.

El Rio Trail, however, runs from Glades to Yamato.

Still, good to know.
