The Owls send #2 UAB home behind a 5-1 night cap victory, and will have a re-match against the Blue Raiders tomorrow at 12:00 PM in the C-USA Tournament Championship Game with an automatic birth to the NCAA's on the line.

Mia Olson managed to do it all as the hero for Florida Atlantic. The junior blasted two home runs, one in the bottom of the second to get the Owls on the board, and another in the fourth. She also tallied her season's ninth win on a complete-game effort. She allowed one run on five hits and a pair of strikeouts in a full seven frames.

Emily Lochten added a solo shot of her own in the third inning. The homer was her second of the day and team-best 13th on the year. The run was one of three plated in the frame. Jolie Duffner and Kelsey Morrison added a double and single, respectively, to help secure the win.

Centerfielder Madisyn Palmer had a highlight defensive play in the top of the second inning, robbing a three-run blast at the wall to hold UAB scoreless. Natalie Erwin would become UAB's lone run with a home run in the sixth. UAB's season comes a close with an overall record of 26-31-1.

This is the third title game for the Owls in four years. The game will air on CBS Sports Network.

Go Owls! 👌

Six seed MTSU outlasted No. 1 Florida Atlantic 7-6 in the championship finale. The Blue Raiders are the lowest seed to advance to a C-USA title game since 2009 and the lowest seed to ever claim a league championship.

Kristin Uselton had only ever hit two home runs in her four-year career as a Blue Raider. Her third, and most important hit of the tournament, was a grand slam smashed over the left-field fence. Middle Tennessee broke a 1-1 tie and ran away with the game 6-1 in the top of the fifth.

Emily Lochten blasted a two-run home run in the bottom of the fifth inning to cut into Middle Tennessee’s lead 7-3. The hit fueled Florida Atlantic’s fire as they rattled off a trio of runs to cut the deficit to one. Back-to-back-to-back singles hung a run on the board with one out to make it 7-4. Alex Miller doubled and Madisyn Palmer singled to shake the Blue Raiders, but that’s all the comeback the Owls could muster.

Speed was the name of the game for Middle Tennessee in the first. Precious Birdsong drew a one-out walk and stole second to put her team in scoring contention early. She read the defense well and was able to take off to third on a wild pitch before sliding safely with the help of an obstruction call.

The one-run lead was short-lived as Lochten, Florida Atlantic’s leadoff, also walked and beat out Morgan Harris’ throwdown to second. A Samantha Lageyre single down the third-base line sent her home and evened the game 1-1.

FAU finishes the season 30-26.

Check this out;

Wisconsin finished seventh in the Big Ten and was eliminated from the conference tournament on Friday in a 6-0 loss to Minnesota

But they are IN the NCAA's! Until the Group of 5 and other Mid and even low level tears SUE for an illegal monopolistic system, they (and WE) will NEVER GET A FAIR SHOT AGAIN IN ANY SPORT!
