FAU dropped both of its games on the first day of the Eller Media Classic.

The Owls (9-8) led UNLV 1-0 early before the Rebels scored a run in both the third and fourth inning to take the lead, eventually winning the game 3-1. FAU managed only three hits after the first inning.

In their second game of the day, FAU and Drake went to extra innings tied at one. The Bulldogs scored in the top of the eighth, but FAU couldn't answer falling 2-1.

The Owls will tale on Wright State and Loyola Marymount on Saturday; with 1 p.m. EST and 7 p.m. EST start times.
