The Sports Director for a Columbus TV station is reporting on twitter that the Owls have hired Ohio State Associate AD Pat Chun as the new AD.

Don't know much about him….but he's been at Ohio State for 14 years, so something must have rubbed off!  Congrats Pat…welcome to the family!

Just looking at his resume, he seems like a great fit for what we are looking for.  Hopefully he transforms the department.  Lots of work to do, but the recent hires (Pelini, Chun, etc.) are a good start.

He was one of those guys that on paper looked solid, he's been in charge of fundraising and game day experience, two things we REALLY need around here. Lets hope he can get out in the community and bring in some cash, we can't keep operating on the cheap and expect to grow and it doesn't look like the school will have much to give out in the near future.

Ok i will just play  devil's advocate here for a second Ohio state is a easy place to sell tickets raise money. The thing that will put butts in the seats here is winning but yea i will bring a big program attitude here.

I'm curious… why couldn't you post anything? Even saying, "We hired somebody… you'll find out soon" would have been fine…



Anyway, this guy had my vote from the minute he was mentioned so I'm glad we did the right thing and hired him.

Was told by somebody on the inside gave him my word i would not say anything. I also knew we would all know by the latest Monday i knew would could all hang on a few more days. 

I'll believe it when FAU releases a news statement, and there is a press conference.

Sun Sentienl has picked up on the report, but I want a official statement from the university.
