Women's Tennis: FAU Drops Match to Northwestern 6-1
Northwestern quickly grabbed the doubles point facing an FAU lineup that did not feature Dominique Wimmer who normally plays no. 2 singles. Wimmer’s absence forced new partners in doubles and changes in the singles line-up.
Natalia Totevska took Adna Curukovic to three sets at no. 1 but fell in the third set. Erika Mrazkova played up and had a hard fought the first set only to fall 7-5, 6-1. Also moving up Emma Rossiter fell in straight sets.
At no. 4 singles Virginia Augustin captured the first set, forced a third set and picked up the victory after her opponent Bianca Schulz retired.
The Owls then fell in the final two matches for the final match score of 6-1.
