Will Dougan keep her job?

No, It's time to go!
Yes, they cant afford to hire someone "better"
Yes, they will give her one more year to right the ship
We have a Women's basketball team?

You must select between 1 and 13 options

Will Dougan keep her job?

Results are in…and it's not pretty:

We finished the regular season 5-21, and 2-16 in the SBC…

11-46 over the last two years…19% overall WP

4-32 SBC over the last two seasons…12.5% WP

Does Dugan have a future at FAU for 2008-2009?

Re: Would another losing Season prompt a Head Coaching change for the Women's Team?

I know that the womens have had a hard time, but I think we need to give her a chance to recruit player to play a much tougher Belt conference then the A-Sun is for the women.  I think it is a 2-3 year process maybe even 4 years - if we are to give Rex time to build then I think we need to give Chancellor time to build thru the transition from A-Sun to the Belt before we judge the results.

Warm up the band:

"And now, the end is near…and so i face…the final curtain…"

This is becoming reality at 4-14 overall and 0-9 in the SBC…

Some recent comments on Ted's blog:

"TED;–YOU MENTIONED THE NEED TO IMPROVE MEN'S BASKETBALL BEFORE SERIOUSLY THINKING ABOUT BIG EAST MEMBERSHIP.–HOW ABOUT IMPROVING OUR WOMEN'S BASKETBALL TEAM, TOO?–THE LADY OWLS TEAM IS A COMPLETE EMBARRASSMENT!!–WHAT ON EARTH IS CRAIG ANGELOS WAITING FOR??–WE NEED A NEW HEAD COACH WHO CAN RECRUIT BETTER PLAYERS, NO QUESTION ABOUT IT!!–THE WORST MISTAKE OF ALL IS TO CONTINUE A MISTAKE!!"

"regarding women's basketball: i expect a coaching change after this season for all the points raised by Class of 69."

I third that motion…time to go!

Can she recruit? seems like I remember a few years ago our best player was a girl that transferred here from Europe and just walked on.

Fledge, sarcastic?!

NEVER!

:D

I think she has one good recruit the whole time here…and the rest league level for the A-Sun until last year…has yet to land a top SBC recruit IMO…definitely no one above…

Re: Would another losing Season prompt a Head Coaching change for the Women's Te

Yeah, I mean you would think she would be able to get at least ONE decent player who wants to get playing time right away at FAU instead of sitting on the bench at a bigger program. Guess not. We suck.

I interviewed her one time for the student newspaper and it took me a while to preface my question.  Dugan cut me off and said "What's the question, I'm from Indiana and the bobby knight school of coaching".

Must've missed Bobby Knight's school of recruiting!
