Women's Hoops: #24 Cyclones Concerned About Owls?
“It’s not hard to do things when it’s going really well. The challenge for us now is just getting to figure out how hard this level is, and playing when it’s a little uncomfortable, and things aren’t going great,” Fennelly said. “It’s time to figure that out, and we’ll start that on Sunday.”
ISU’s two freshmen post players, Chelsea Poppens and Anna Prins, will have little help off the bench. Freshman forward Amanda Zimmerman miss Sunday’s game due with an injury, Fennelly said, as are seniors Genesis Lightbourne and Anna Florzak.
“For us to win, we need the post players to score, and we need the freshmen to contribute,” said senior guard Alison Lacey. “So it’s my job to get them the ball, and if they score, that’s great for us, and they need to build confidence, and it’s my job, you know, to give it to them, I guess.”
