As you know, Owl's Nest Staff Writer Andrew Ivins has been an instrumental Team member for the last few years.
Beginning as a student covering football practices with the desire to excel in the journalism field, he willingly accepted the challenge of moving into a broader array of coverage opportunities and the challenges they presented. He has been an integral part of our delivery of recruiting news, game day coverage for a variety of sports, and other special news matters. Of note, this was done while balancing the demands against a hefty full time course load at times.

Tomorrow marks a very special day for Andrew, as he will be honored with his degree from Florida Atlantic in Multimedia Journalism in the 9:00 AM ceremony.
Recently, Andrew accepted a position with the Sun Sentinel as an Editorial Assistant, a move which places him closer towards his career goals.
We are privileged to have helped play a part in his professional development, and wanted to share both of these milestones with you.
Andrew will continue to be a part of The Owl's Nest as his schedule allows, and will always be a valued member.
But for now, please join us in being the first to congratulate him on these recent achievements, and wish him the best as he continues towards his long term aspirations.

Do you mean the time he asked you to proof read one of his articles for grammar and spelling?
Well Done Andrew! Thanks for all that you do and best of luck.
