work in sports, local opportunity

Hey! Check out the below info and if you have questions please feel free to post a reply or e-mail me…

Are you a student or recent graduate? Do you need a job? Are you interested in a career in intercollegiate athletics?

Then the official NCAA career fair is the event is for you!

Career Connections is a two-day event providing students and recent graduates with a valuable opportunity to meet professionals from member institutions, receive advice on how to package themselves and their resumes and even interview for open positions. Attendees will have a chance to network and interview with administrators in intercollegiate athletics who are currently hiring, or will be hiring in the future for internships, assistantships and other entry-level positions and openings.

Career Connections participants have the option to attend many of the NCAA Convention sessions for a greatly reduced fee of $25, unless employed full-time. These sessions will be an invaluable learning experience and will not only give you insight into the issues and topics currently present in intercollegiate athletics, but will extend your opportunity for networking.

Who Should Come?

Current students and 2006 graduates who are interested in the field of intercollegiate athletics and athletics administrators interested in networking and/or interviewing for open positions.

Schedule Overview

Career Connections will begin on Thursday, January 4 with four professional development programming sessions. On Friday, January 5, the administrators will have tables set up for you to obtain more information about their respective institutions and speak with them about any positions they may have available. Some administrators will be conducting on-site interviews. You will also have the chance to get one-on-one resume and interview coaching.

Friday will conclude with a networking reception during which you will have the opportunity to network with the programming speakers and other athletics administrators in an informal setting.
