Is it too early to start recruiting her?
Internet sensation: Nine-year-old girl shredding defenses to the tune of 25 touchdowns
It started as a way for an 8-year-old girl to keep up with her big brother.
Sam Gordon just wanted to run with the older kids. The coaches in the local tackle football league figured, hey, why not? Maybe they could turn it into a drill: Who can outrun Max's little sister?
They were shocked to find the answer: no one.
Sam Gordon, now 9, became one of the fastest kids this Salt Lake City area "Gremlins" league had ever seen. They put her in drills and she outran boys two years older. They allowed her into the "Sharks and Minnows" game and stared in awe at not only at her speed, but her ability to move like a tailback.

Being a father of four girls - three of whom were VERY athletic - I love it and hope the press and experts now being "involved" and "commenting" don't scare her or her parents off! A small boy or even a big one could get hurt too that is the nature of sports and actually life overall as well! Want to talk about dangerous, try competitive cheerleading!
Way to go girl!

Obviously there are male sports teams and there are female sports teams in college. Nothing is coed. But could a determined female play football at the high school level and claim discrimination if she was turned down? Is there a historical precedent for this somewhere?
I understand if this is a dumb question but it's worth asking, IMO.

Scout or Rivals give her 3 stars at anytime I know a lot of folks on this board that would offer her immediately. ;D

Katie Hinda kicked for New Mexico State back in 2003
Her record in HS preceded her - outstanding.
However, in football at the NCAA DI/IAA/II/III levels, there has been no consideration precedent set with regards to a female desiring to fill a "contact" position that I am aware of.

Well, depends on what you mean by "maturation" … breasts, periods, only seriously considers dating guys with a career, etc
