Superbowl at the Stadium

Add topic

Such a nice night out, have to wonder:

If FAU offered the opportunity to watch the Superbowl in the stadium, would you be interested?

Obviously in this scenario the bar etc would be open and you could choose your seat anywhere, including the field itself.

Honestly, I don't think they have the screens, or food quality to make it work.

I would rather they work on trying to get people in the stadium to actually watch the Owls. Just me.

Scoreboard and upgrade the menu for the event? But there is always the risk of bad weather then. Not a bad idea though, and would the NFL even allow it?

They don't allow people to say the word Super Bowl unless you pay them.  Let's come up with a better event.

I would prefer an event called the "Owl Prowl," much like the "Gator Growl" in Gainesville.

It kicks off football season in conjunction with the bonfire.

It would include several bands, but features Carrot Top. I know many do not understand Carrot Top. He is rated as one of the top shows in Vegas…IN VEGAS. We do not even recognize him. He is an alumnus of FAU and he is a top rated show in Vegas…IN VEGAS. I am shaking my head why we have no perceived relationship with him.

I saw him in Vegas at The Luxor and he is Hilarious. Did I mention he is a top rated show in Vegas and he is an alum, and we do not give him the time of day.

Do I have to draw a map?

He came to FAU a couple of years ago and I ran into him. He wanted to see the stadium and they wouldn't give him a tour because he didn't call in advance.

Seriously. C'mon, Man.

Dr. Kelly: Call me.  I will get Carrot Top involved. BTW, he's a millionaire, if that matters.

It could draw 10's of people.  Focus on drawing to see the prime tenant of the stadium.

Mark, you are so right about him, we act like we are embarrassed by him - how stupid!

FAU and FAU Alums, embrace our star Alums, be proud they ARE AN OWL!

Did Carrot Top really not get a tour?  This is really bad business.  I don't care if Mary Carey wants a tour, if it is someone who is in a position to donate, you make it happen.

Sadly it is true. Now whether he has been back since then and got a tour, I don't know.
