Winning ugly never felt so good
FAU beat Rutgers 12-11 in 10 innings to improve to 20-2 on the year. FAU fell behind 4-0 in the top of the 1st as the normally strong Will Mann surprisingly had an off night. Rutgers extended their lead to 8-3 but FAU would not be denied and got a three run homer from Albano to close the gap and ultimately tied it up to go extra innings. Allen Knight who came in after the 5th shut Rutgers down for 4 innings but ran out of gas in the 10th as Rutgers took a 11-8 lead. But the cardiac kids from FAU came back to win yet again with 4 runs in the 9th as Derek Hutton drove in the winning run.
