Coach's Breakfast
Nov. 30, 2004
FAU Athletics is working diligently to meet the NCAA attendance requirement. With that in mind there are several opportunities for you to participate with Coach Schnellenberger and his public appearances. Check out Cold Pizza on ESPN2 Wednesday morning at 8:25 am, ESPN 790 AM each afternoon this week between 4 and 6 pm and Jeff DeForrest on 850AM radio at 5:30 pm. He will also be on radio talk shows with Carl Foster on 1400 THE FAN on Thursday at 7:20 am and then on Friday morning you can catch him on 790 AM radio with Joe Rose.
As Coach Schnellenberger mentioned last week, we need everyone to attend and bring four friends to the game this Saturday at Pro Player Stadium against Florida International. Tickets and special promotions are in place. If you need more information, please call the athletic office at 561-297-3710.
The game will feature special promotions:
-Bank United Million Dollar Scramble
-Publix Shopping Give Away
-Deep Side
Join the Owls for their final home game of the 2004 season when Florida Atlantic University plays host to Florida International University 4 pm, December 4 at Pro Player Stadium for the third Annual "Shula Bowl".
Several special events are on tap to show appreciation to the fans. First is the Bank United Million Dollar Scramble. Five lucky fans will be selected to grab as much money as they can in 60 seconds during halftime. Complete rules are listed under the special events button at www.fausports.com
Headlining the game will be a performance by Deep Side, who will sing the National Anthem and will perform at halftime.
All students, no matter age or school affiliation, with a valid ID receive free admission through Gate B.
Coach Schnellenberger will host his final breakfast of the season this Friday at 8 am in the Oxley Center's Founders Room. All are welcome to come hear Coach discuss the game plan for FIU and enjoy good food and company.
This weekend's game versus FIU has several implications. 26 seniors will be honored in their final game at FAU. The FAU football community would like to show them our appreciation for their hard work in getting the football program off of the ground.
The Shula trophy will also be up for grabs this Saturday. FAU looks to retain the Shula Bowl trophy for the third straight season.

IMO, casual fans are more likely to attend a game at Pro Player then Lockhart for the sole reason of better facilities.
I like this saved the endangered Owls things - people like to rally behind something and could actually help generate enough interest. Keeping my fingers crossed.
