Oh by the way..there was never a near riot at the end of the FAU/FIU game as reported in the local paper. >:(
Two kids squawking and the rest just pulled them away.
Sensational journalism at it's worst.

Remember to support our conference as we look for our first ever bowl victories.
Are you referring to the Sun Belt Conference's first bowl victories? Reason why I ask is because in 2002 North Texas defeated Conference USA's co-champion Cincinnati 24-19.

Good luck to troy and North Texas……and Hawaii. It will make us look even better if they win.

I must have meant the first year of multiple bowl victories for the Sun Belt.
Anyway, the better the Sun Belt does in these bowl games, the more likely the NCAA will listen to it about the attendance issue.
Go N. Texas, Go Troy!!

it sucks our midseason went crap. We would have been all over the place being undefeated and not going to a bowl game have beaten 3 bowl teams. lee corso would've been all over it……

And since neither FAU nor FIU reached the 15,000 threshold as transitional 1-A teams ya'll will still be considered transitional next season as well until you do make the mandate or so that is what Wright Waters has said. If that's the case, neither school may be eligible to play in a bowl game next season either because of your non-full-fledged 1-A status.
Now, if the 15,000 attendance rule gets thrown out by the NCAA before next year, then you don't have to worry.

Even if they don't throw out the attendance the rule the NCAA may give FIU and FAU a waiver because both our schools had big games affected by hurricanes.
