This site confirms the schedule and has Minnesota hosting CSU on 9/10.

That makes four chances against BCS opponents :).

According to this message board post the CSU game was moved and it's a two for one deal so we'll get them down here as well.

The sched looks like it's set. They are definitely not D1-AA so is Minnesota in the winnable category? ;)

Playing up there can also attract some out of state talent for us too.

Big plans call for a big schedule. and the bar has been raised. It seems like each year the bar is raised and this University is ready for the new challenges and new goals. The interesting part is its not only in Athletics but what is on the burners in general.

Here's the link in the Minneapolis Star Tribune:

Gophers schedule
Chip Scoggins, Star Tribune
March 23, 2005

The Gophers finalized their 2005 schedule by adding Florida Atlantic at home on Sept. 17. To make it work, the Gophers moved their home game against Colorado State from Sept. 17 to Sept. 10.

The Gophers and Florida Atlantic, which will become a full-fledged Division I-A member this season, signed a 2-for-1 agreement. The Gophers will play the Owls this season and in 2008 at the Metrodome, and play at Florida Atlantic in 2007.

The Gophers also released their Big Ten schedules for 2007 and 2008. Of note, they drop Michigan State and Penn State and will resume playing Wisconsin and Iowa back-to-back to close the regular season.

They seemed to have raised the bar alot more this year then in the past... louisville, Minnosota, Kansas, Oklahoma St., and even Troy. I would have to say we have the hardest sunbelt schedule by far.

I suppose it's how you look and define what a winnable game is, with Coah S at the helms he thinks every game is a winnable game - the boys where recruits to play with the big boys, well take those diapers off and lets dance shall we.

This kinds of sets up what spring practice will be about, all business - the kids that are not ready to make the jump will be left behind.
