Incoming freshmen can attend D1 colleges for scholarship the summer after they graduate from high school. This a new NCAA rule.
As opposed to waiting a year AFTER they have graduated high school? I'm a little confused by your statement about incoming freshmen. Please explain.

The student-athletes that signed letters of intent to play for FAU in February and graduated from High School in May are now eligible to attend summer school on scholarship according to NCAA rules.
