Early look at some High School prospects

Post

This list can change day to day. It's just a look at who FAU may be looking at. Multiple schools are listed along with FAU. Some have already publicly chosen a different school. Unfortunately the Rivals site and "list" can only be viewed by signing up.

I just copied out the entire list for conversation.

I like the Donta Jones kid at RB. He would give us the added size that we desperately need. Banks lacks speed but could possibly play RB in our system since he is a little small for a FB and would make a big RB. We need to bring in some real power runners, guys that can put their heads down and move the pile. GO OWLS!!!

Yep! We do need the size in the backfield with the pro-set offense. Some teams are actually going with the TE in the backfield in some sets. True FB's are becoming extinct in college ball.

I like Banks, he is a hard charger that plays fearless for every yard.

I agree O.G. There is a lot of the shift of TE to FB or H-back. It seems to work pretty well especially with the new breed of TE being 6-5 and fast. All of the smaller TE's with less speed fit well into the backfield. FAU might look in that direction as well. Why not bring in a kid who might be a bit small or a bit slow for TE and put him at FB? It makes good sense. GO OWLS!!!

There are some great high school games across the state this weekend. Followed the FHSAA championship is the 1st week in December at ProPlayer and FIU stadium. The lower divisions will play at FIU and the larger divisions will play at Dolphin Stadium.

Nothing concrete Talon. The coaches have hit the Fla recruiting areas pretty hard. They were also at the high school championship games at FIU and Dolphins stadium. Hopefully things will leak out after Christmas.

A lot more kids start to make the verbals around the early weeks of January after their December visits.
