We all have thrown around some good ideas on this board. Let's see how we would handle the situation if we had all available resources at our disposal. No red-tape or permits standing in the way.
Plus we have all the necessary man-power (everyone who has to be involved) on standby to complete our entire project, regardless of size and structure.
Your choices of Stadium:
Open air will be ready Sept 1st 2007.
Dome will be ready Sept 1st 2008.(Serious manpower. ;) )
The catch here: Chose the Dome and FAU would lose 1 QB to UM, 1 LB to FSU and 2 WR to UF on February 2008 signing day. Chose the Open Air and they all commit to FAU.
Remember. No roadblocks or stadium monetary boundaries.
Put on your Bob The Builder Hats and let's get started..

OK..Now you get to build the Stadium.
-Close down the friggin' airport! Then build an exit/entrance off I-95 right there by the movie theater.
-Build the Open Air with all the current amenieties. (Those 3 kids may just get us to a BCS bowl in 2 years.)
30K with Dallas Cowboys style opening in roof. 20 Club Boxes and 2 large conference rooms. Jumbo Tron on both ends. Picnic & wading pool area for the kids/families at one end. Hot tub on the other end for adults who win staged contests. ;)
-Attach an A/C controlled practice BUBBLE to the stadium. The players won't miss any time due to inclement weather.
-Have a tram/trolley for students who can't walk too straight on Saturday afternoons. Covered walkway to the stadium from the movies(Boomers) overlooking a relocated Owl habitat. Build a Golf Cart bridge across Glades and I-95 for the people who want to ride from their Tee times.
-Make the conference rooms available on Wednesday and Sunday nights for Bingo games.
I'll probably think of something else later.

If construction could start right away. I mean in a few months, I want the dome. If we are talking a year or two to start, better go with an open air stadium. Build it in such a way that would facilitate future expansion. It seems like Howard is telling these kids they will be playing on campus before they graduate.

The Arena could be refurbished nicely for a couple of years and schedule a ground breaking for say 2010 for a new arena. This would also allow the baseball and softball stadiums there refacing.
The expansions would be contingent on the attendance that way the facilities being better utilized for each sport. Kind of gives a bigger crowd feel than 10 or 14 K at Dolphin Stadium looking like 1 or 2K.

At the center you have the Village the heart of the sporting complex, which includes all sports on the outskirt - The village would include a Hotel, resturants, retail shops, Bowling Alley,Movie theater, sports bars, student housing and a mini convention center (for Bingo night). The football stadium with a retractable roof would include the BB area as already proposed, a new Baseball & softball stadiums and lets not forget all other sports because we all know they need upgraded facilities to. At the center you get a bird's eye view of many sporting events.
Get a Metro rail going that connect not only the Village to the main campus, but venture out into the City of Boca, for example the Mall, the University Commons, a Publix shopping Center - this would help out with trafic going in and out of the University - we could set-up parking stations similar to Tri-Rail (could actually share the current facilities with Tri-Rail) around PBC making for easy access to FAU and eliminate some of the trafic concerns the City may have.
