Do you consider yourselves journalists? I hope not.
You can't even properly identify Matt Doherty's current employer, Florida Atlantic University, a school with more than 27,000 students.
You consider it a step up for Doherty to leave FAU (get it F-"EH"-U), a program on the rise, soon to have a dome home, entering a decent mid-major conference … to join a crummy (last place) team that is likely to be placed on probation, with an aging, crummy arena, with a football program that has already faced the death penalty?
Florida International University, two counties to the south, has an equal number of students (more than twice the number of SMU).
Do you get it now?
Do you plan to become better at research?
Probably not.
