BOCA RATON, FL – Rodney Webb, a former Florida Atlantic University men's basketball player, has joined a professional basketball team in France.

Webb joined the Antibes of the French Pro B league and is predicted to make a major impact on his team in his inaugural season.

Through three games, he has made three starts, playing the second-most minutes on the team while averaging 11.1 points per game, third best on the squad. He's 14-of-22 from inside the arc including a pair of dunks and has drained two from beyond the arc as well for a total of 34 points.

Known for giving his team a spark with his rebounding in an Owl uniform, Webb has also managed to grab 29 rebounds, second most on the team, including a team-high 22 defensive boards and averaging just under 10 rebounds per game.

Fans can keep tabs on Webb through his team's website, www.Antibes-basket.com.

During his time at FAU, Webb earned First-Team All-Atlantic Sun honors in his senior season and was named team MVP. He ranks among FAU career leaders in points, field goal percentage, free throws made and attempted, rebounds, rebounding average per game, and double-doubles.

I just saw on ESPN today that the San Antonio Spurs were training in France and playing Rodney's team before coming back here for preseason. No better way to get noticed!
