Through the ULL game the QB stats are as follows.

Clayton 51% completion, 750 yards, 4 tds, 4 ints

Smith 50% completion, 471 yards, 1 td, 5 ints

Total 51% completion, 1221 yards, 5 tds, 9 ints

The stats aren't good. These two QBs need to get it together in order to make a run at the SBC.

Since the inception of the program, the offense has generally lacked a strong run game, relying heavily on a decent passing game. This year the run game is looking better than it has in recent memory, but the passing game is very poor. Imagine what this team would be capable of if both the run and pass would get going at the same time. GO OWLS!!!

You're reading it right. Not sure why he is #1.

He has the highest QB rating.

But why does he have the highest rating? Looking at his stats, I don't see. He isn't the worst though by any means.

His completion rate is the lowest of the 6 listed, his TD to INT is 1:1, two others have the same. Babb is # 4. Clayton certainly didn't look better than Babb in Thursday's game.

According to those stats - looks like ASU's QB can't throw or has no recievers - if we shut down their run, we have a very good chance next week - he isn't even listed and they have only played ULM and FIU so far – I am getting a great feeling about Homecoming :)

Who should we root for today between NT and ASU ? Will definitely be pulling for ULM.

His yds/attempt is the 2nd highest and being 1:1 is pretty good in our conference. Look at Troy and FIU's QB's with 10 INTs a piece. If you need an explanation of how it is computed look at this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Passer_rating

He has the lowest Comp % of all the listed QB :o 51% is not good. Clayton is a QB that can get the job done with a good running game as long as he protects the ball, something he must become better at.

If Clayton is ranked as the #1 QB in the SunBelt, it doesn't speak to his good play, it speaks to the poor play of all SBC QBs.
