You have a very nice message board with a lot of enthusiasm!! I am looking at the campus with Google Earth, can someone point out where the Stadium will actually be built?
Is there any information on the access ramp 95/Spanish River Blvd? Hopefully it will be a full cloverleaf.

The stadium is most likely going to go just north of the Oxley Center parallel to I-95. That is my most recent understanding of the situation. As for the access ramp, I don't know too much. GO OWLS!!!

Quite a pessimist aren't you?
Most of on the board believe that this will be resolved this month, either the dome or outdoor stadium I'm still sure we will move in the right direction.
Don't listen to the negative crap that some have to say, they are typically the ones who will always point out a problem but never have a solution.

Infrastructure is in place. Roads, Access, etc.
1. There are three (3) interchanges with a fourth (4'th) being built. Palmetto/95, Glades/95, Spanish River/95 and 95/Yamato
You have Close access to Florida Turnpike.
This will enable surface traffic easy access to the campus for athletic events, conferences, concerts, etc.
Very few schools in the country have this type of access.
2. There are 10 public and private airports in Broward and Palm Beach County, one of which is on campus.
The on-campus airport will become an incredible recruiting advantage and high donor / alumni advantage.
Fly a recruit directly to the on-campus airport. Fly to FAU in your corporate jet for a football game. Don't you think this will help get recruits and donations? Sure is a great way to beat the traffic problem ;D Maybe the football program can get a split on the landing fees ;)
If you have to wait another 5 years to build the stadium you want it will be worth the wait. Meanwhile you can continue to build your program infrastructure.
A first class football program needs 2-3 practice fields. Building a small outdoor stadium with a track in the interim will help you long term. When your 20K expandable to 70K-seat stadium is finally built you can remove all but 5K seats from your temporary stadium. Turn over the locker rooms to Men?s and Women?s Soccer, Lacrosse, and track teams and you will have a facility which can be used for football practice and provide a home for the soccer/ lacrosse/ track teams as well as IM teams and the Band.

I really believe that FAU and FIU will have strong programs in the not so distant future.
