We won 16-8. Obradovich gave up four runs in five innings and then Phillabaum allowed three earned in only two innings. Schmal did come in and pitch two scoreless to close things out.

Bomback is turning out to be quite a find….grand slam today.

FAU and Troy have the same problem so far - some great but lots of mediocre pitching, and good offense that bails them out.

Troy finished its sweep of St. Louis today, 10-9, after being down 9-3, to go 5-2 (with two losses and one win over No. 11 Arkansas and a win over No. 20 'Bama).

'Can't wait for the three-game FAU-Troy series next month.

I can't wait for Rice on Friday…..would be nice to take down a top-10 team!

You can thank the wind for Bomback's slam. It looked like a pop-up to short right that just kept going, and going, and going.

… the wind today was BRUTAL! Every ball hit in the air was an adventure.

Obradovich looked OK, two of his runs were on sac-flies, and our defense didn't really help him out. Phillabaum looked aweful in the sixth but settled down after that.

Next weekend should be a good measuring stick as to our talent. Rice was a pre-season No.1 and Nebraska was a regional team again last year.

I hope storey shows up to pitch a gem. Taking out Rice would be sweet and sweeping the weekend could put us in the top ten. 12-0 and beating two teams in the top 20 and one team in the top 10.
