12 and 0!!!! should get us some respect. taking out three top twenty teams would be sick.

Without putting too much pressure on the guys, I think coming out of the weekend winning 2 out of 3 will do the trick. Then we will be considered legit. Look at OSU….they lose to us and jump a notch in the polls. Go figure. I'm just glad to see the U of M struggling. I sure wish we were playing them this year.

we need to beat troy or nebraska for respect… as unfortunate as it is, it's the truth… we SHOULD already be ranked, but winning 1 of those 2 and beating texas a&m - corpus christi will be put us in the top 25… the polls don't matter right now… all that matters is the field of 64 come regional time

These polls are complete garbage.

Miami loses at least two games to unranked Florida and gets a No. 16 ranking.

Alabama loses its only game - to Troy - and gets a No. 28 ranking.

Arkansas is No. 10 with two losses - one coming to Troy. And Troy's only two losses are to No. 10 Arkansas.

So where is Troy (which swept NCAA tourney player St. Louis over the weekend to go 5-2)?

Polls are nice and some people will judge a team only on their rankings, but in reality they are a huge joke. Just look at how many polls are out there: Baseball America, Collegiate Baseball, USA Today/ESPN Top 25, NCBWA Top 25… I'm sure I missed a couple. The fact that there isn't one poll that every school recognizes - OSU came in ranked 17th because that is the poll they were ranked highest - is what makes it so bogus.

Bottom line: Just keep winning and everything will work itself out.

I would just like to be in a regional this year without the Big 3 and being ranked in the top 15 could do that.

Once we crack the Top 25 poll we better move to another thread so we can then discuss how great the polls are :-)
