We also have confirmed via our New England Editor Adam Finkelstein that 6'1 Tremayne Russell from Pittsfield (Maine Central Institute) ME has verbally committed to Florida International

And Donnie Wilkie, who invites the teams for the City of Palms Classic in Ft. Myers, FL, thinks 6'6 Jamal Owens from Miami (Carol City) FL, who verbally committed to Florida Atlantic today, might be an even bigger sleeper. Not only is Owens a big time slasher/athlete, but he also attracted interest from schools like Texas, Kentucky, Virginia Tech, Stetson, and SMU after they saw him in July. However, in the end, it looks like Owens wanted to stay home, as he discouraged those schools from recruiting him and made his verbal commitment to the Owls right after making his official visit to the school.

These so-called sports sites are filled with journalist wannabees. They can't even do basic fact-finding.

BMarkey is right. These sports sites are full of amateur writers. Often times they will "publish" anyone who can string two sentances together and because they are on the site people assume they are some sort of expert.
