Any idea on how they make selections for the watch list??

Do they take a certain number of players from each conference or is it based solely on performance??

For example, do they take the top 6 guys from all BCS conferences and then take 2 from all other conferences or do they actually rank all of the players??

I ask this because it seems to me that virtually every BCS team is going to have two guys better than virtually any non-BCS team. So it would seem almost impossible for a non-BCS guy to make the list unless he is a real stud (like Ware from Troy a few years ago) or if each conference automatically gets a certain number of guys on the list.
